Privacy Policy — ChurchPulse

This Privacy Policy explains what information ChurchPulse collects, how we use it, and who we share it with. ChurchPulse is operated by Joel Matheny. If you have questions, email report@mychurchpulse.io.

1. Information we collect

When you sign up and use ChurchPulse, we collect:

Account & contact info — your name, email address, and your church's name and general location.
Ministry data you submit — the weekly numbers you enter (attendance, giving, visitors, decisions, ministry headcounts, and any notes you add), plus the goals you set in your dashboard.
Payment info — handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number; Stripe shares with us only what's needed to manage your subscription (like plan, billing status, and the last 4 digits of your card).
Basic usage data — things like when you log into the dashboard, which features you use, and standard web request logs (IP address, browser type) for security and troubleshooting.

2. How we use it

To generate your weekly report, dashboard, trends, and (on applicable plans) AI-assisted coaching content and the Live Coaching chat feature.
To send you the emails the Service is built around — your weekly report, submission reminders, and account-related messages like magic-link logins.
To process payment and manage your subscription.
To maintain, secure, and improve the Service.

We do not sell your data, and we do not use your church's ministry data to train AI models beyond generating your own report and coaching content.

3. Who we share it with

We use a small number of third-party service providers to run ChurchPulse. Each only receives what it needs to do its job:

Resend	Delivering transactional emails (reports, reminders, login links)

Make.com	Automating email delivery and account workflows

We don't share your information with anyone else except as required by law, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of ChurchPulse or our users.

4. Data retention

We keep your account and ministry data for as long as your account is active, so your reports, trends, and history stay available to you. If you cancel your subscription, we retain your data for a reasonable period in case you resubscribe, then delete it on request — see below.

5. Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your account data at any time by emailing report@mychurchpulse.io. We'll respond and take action within a reasonable timeframe.

6. Cookies

ChurchPulse uses minimal cookies and local storage, mainly to keep you logged into your dashboard. If we ever add analytics or advertising tracking, we'll update this policy to reflect that.

7. Children's privacy

ChurchPulse is a tool for church leadership and staff. It isn't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

8. Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections and access-controlled infrastructure. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your data safe.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, let you know by email.
